Microsoft Research gift to Viperlib

Microsoft Research

Microsoft Research have very generously donated £25,000 to support the future development of Viperlib. We are planning to revamp the site allowing users to submit material in a simpler and more direct way. This will reduce the administrative load of running Viperlib and will keep the site up to date.

Obviously we want more material for the site, more images, more Viper2go tutorials, etc. We will now be able to commission new material so it is important that we discover what our users would like to see on Viperlib that we do not currently have. Please send requests for demos, tutorials and images to info@viperlib.com. If you have a great idea for the site and would like us to commission you to produce material, please get in touch.

We will also be looking at the possibility - and desirability - of extending the scope of Viperlib to incorporate auditory demonstrations. What are your views on this proposal? What about other senses too?

Viperlib is only as good as the people who give us the material, so please contribute to making the site even better.

Viperlib movies now in multiple formats

Previously, video clips on this website were only available as QuickTime movies. We are now pleased to announce that all clips are also available in both AVI and MP4 formats.

Updating the Viperlib website

If you have difficulty accessing Viperlib at any time it could be that an update is in progress, so please try again in an hour or so before reporting the problem.

Viper2go

Viper2go is an expansion of Viperlib, providing complete tutorial sessions. If you would like to create a Viper2go tutorial, we would be delighted to hear from you.  For more details about Viper2go visit our FAQ page.

If you've not seen Tutis Vilis' wonderful interactive Flash lectures, check them out here .

Images for you ...

This is your site and is only as good as the material that has been contributed. So please share your images. A huge thank you to all who have contributed images so far. The site would not exist without you!
